The Ministry of Health (MOH) celebrated the inauguration of Al-Jardah Health Center in Al-
Mudhaibi, North Sharqiyah Governorate, supported by private funding of approximately OMR
500,000. The event, held under the patronage of H.E. Mahmoud bin Yahya Al-Dhahli, Governor
of North Sharqiyah, was attended by notable officials including members of the State and Shura
Councils, local walis, and representatives from civil and military authorities. Coinciding with the
country’s National Day celebrations, the opening underscores the government’s commitment to
advancing healthcare infrastructure.
Spanning 25,333 square meters with a built-up area of 841 square meters, the center was
designed for efficient internal circulation and safety, ensuring a comfortable environment for
staff and visitors. It significantly enhances primary healthcare services in Al-Mudhaibi and the
wider region. The facility includes eight medical clinics (general and dental), an X-ray room,
pharmacy, laboratory, treatment room, and meeting space, along with fully integrated public and
service facilities. Modern electrical and mechanical systems support operational efficiency and
sustainability.
Dr. Ahmed bin Said Al-Saidi, Director General of Health Services for North Sharqiyah,
highlighted the project as a testament to the synergy between government efforts and community
initiatives. He emphasized the importance of trained personnel to operate the center and noted
ongoing progress in healthcare quality and accessibility in line with Oman Vision 2040 and the
Ministry’s five-year plan. The initiative reflects a broader national strategy to upgrade healthcare
across the Sultanate, focusing on primary care, quality assurance, and community engagement.
Eng. Yousuf bin Yaqub Ambo Ali, MOH Director General of Projects and Engineering Services,
reaffirmed the project’s role in expanding health infrastructure and services in alignment with
Vision 2040, aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life. Supervised by the Directorate General
of Projects and Engineering Services, the center aims to reduce pressure on existing facilities and
provide advanced, comprehensive medical care in a safe, well-equipped environment.
Since commencing operations last September, Al-Jardah Health Center serves numerous villages
in Al-Mudhaibi, including Qaeed, Hilaluh, Ayana, and others, thereby enhancing healthcare
accessibility and quality across the region.
